Hello everyone, I would strongly recommend using picture books and comics with children to develop their multiliteracies and language proficiency. I have done a study on this and the results were remarkable. It increased motivation, language production, communicative ability, and much more. The study is accessible online via this link: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/21504857.2021.1951788 There are some great resources to work with when it comes to picture books and you can even make your own using Storyboard That!, Zooburst, Canva, or Comic Life. Here are some great picture books on different topics for children (specifically English): How to code a sandcastle Where the wild things are The technology tail Cloudy with a chance of meatballs For specific activities, teachers and parents can look at: ReadWriteThink.org.
